So I was watching the great Bear Grylls the other day and he said something that struck me as worth giving a shit about. I think he was in Scotland, and after a night sleeping under a broken, overturned rowboat with a peat moss roof, he talked about having a morning routine and how it was essential for keeping your morale up in harsh conditions. He proceeded to do what I could only describe as a combination of yoga and calisthenics then went about his day.
Recently, for me, a morning routine has usually consisted of either jumping on my computer for a rousing video game, or getting rid of morning wood in a way that consists of very little exercise. I'll just leave you with that image...
Now I'm starting to understand what good'ol Bear is talking about and I feel like I should get in the habit of it. A little exercise every morning will help get rid of this winter fat I have no business wearing in the first place, and, hopefully get me into a more productive mood, so I'm not spending the whole day playing video games, and... that other thing.
In other news... this five page comic thingy is done, and ready to be shown to those Red 5 people in hopes of maybe some work. I wonder if they're gonna be at Stumptown?
Pretty soon I'll have this living thing down! Maybe even get me one of those sealskin wetsuits the Mr. Grylls made.
